Description

An Epsom Derby hero, one of four by the late champion sire Montjeu, Authorized also won the Juddmonte International and the Dante Stakes. Ridden by Frankie Dettori, to whom he gave a long-awaited first victory in Flat racing's most famous race, he was trained by Peter Chapple-Hyam and co-bred by Michael Kinane, who competed against Authorized at Epsom as a jockey.
