Holder of the record for most prizemoney earned by a European-trained racehorse, Highland Reel won the Coronation Cup, the Breeders' Cup Turf, the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes, the two Hong Kong Vases, and the Secretariat Stakes at Arlington Park. Owned by Derrick Smith, Susan Magnier and Michael Tabor, he was trained at the world-famous Ballydoyle stables in County Tipperary by Aidan O'Brien. Highland Reel is by the world's greatest living stallion, Galileo, out of Hveger by Danehill. He is shown here winning the Breeders' Cup Turf, ridden by Seamus Heffernan.
