Unraced at two, Sea of Class made astonishing progress to win the Irish Oaks on her fourth start, before following up with an impressive victory against older fillies and mares in the Yorkshire Oaks. Pitted against the defending champion and six-time Group 1 winner Enable in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, she finished strongly but was narrowly held into second place. Trained by William Haggas at Newmarket, she was by phenomenal racehorse and sire Sea The Stars out of Holy Moon by Hernando, and was owned and bred by the Tsui family who produced her sire.
